Surroundings Albufeira, Lagoa, Portimao and Silves

The many small and often secluded beaches along the rocky coast are certainly worth a visit. While walking along the coast you will be amazed by its beauty. The cities Lagoa, Portimao and Silves, with a middle-aged fortress where you can still experience the true Portuguees character, are within a 20 kilometre radius.

For golfers there is an abundance of choices; between Albufeira and Lagos there are more than 20 different golfcourses with 9 or 18 holes.

Amongst others, the children can enjoy themselves in the two waterparks (The Big One and Slide and Splash) or pay a visit to the Zoomarine, an "ocean theme-park".

After a day at the beach or after seeing the sites you can prepare the barbecue on the pool terrace or decide to go for a very reasonably priced dinner in one of the many little restaurants in Vila Maria's surroundings.
